Thomas B. Wilson
President and Chief Executive Officer

thomasTom is a national authority on executive compensation and high performance organizations, and has over 30 years of professional business and consulting experience. He has worked with numerous boards and top executives to assess the competitiveness and effectiveness of total direct compensation plans, develop total compensation systems for sales organizations and total reward systems for employee groups. He is the author of five books including Changes for Challenging Times - A Special Report on Business Conditions and Compensation Trends (published 2009), Innovative Reward Systems for the Changing Workplace (McGraw Hill) and Rewards That Drive High Performance (AMACOM). He has written over 30 articles, book chapters and special features for Fortune Magazine, the Conference Board, Financial Times and Boards and Directors. He has been quoted in the Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, and the Boston Business Journal.

Prior to forming WGI, Tom was the National Director of Rewards for Aubrey Daniels & Associates; Partner and General Manager of New England for Hay Group, Inc.; and Director of Organizational Consulting for the Forum Corporation. He holds a Master’s degree from Vanderbilt Owen School of Management and Bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University.

Susan Malanowski
Principal

susanSusan brings over 25 years in consulting and leadership positions in compensation and human resources to her clients.  Susan advises boards of directors, executives and leaders in sales, human resources and compensation functions on the strategic application of total reward programs. She works with a broad range of public, private and non-profit clients in technology, industrial, and service sectors throughout the country in the assessment, design and implementation of sales, executive and employee compensation programs.

Prior to consulting, Susan worked in leadership positions at General Cinema Theatres, Aetna Inc., Barclays Business Credit and Community Newspaper Company.   She has co-authored and published several publications with other members of Wilson Group.  Susan earned her master’s degree in labor and industrial relations from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Ithaca College.  Susan is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and a Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) through WorldatWork and a member of the New England Compensation Consortium.  Susan currently resides in both Northeast Wisconsin and the Boston area.

Rhonda Farrington
Principal

rhondaRhonda has over 20 years of human resources experience in both consulting and human resource management roles in small and medium-sized organizations. She has experience in base salary and variable pay plan design, sales plan design and total reward programs. She has a strong background in market analysis, job evaluation and the development of performance management programs that focus on driving organizational success.

Rhonda has focused on executive compensation, assisting boards with total compensation plan evaluation and design, as well as executive compensation philosophy development. Most recently she has worked with Safety Insurance, Beacon Mutual, Boston Mutual, AgaMatrix and Ensign-Bickford. Her past experience also includes handling company restructuring/reorganization, benefit program management and training design and implementation at companies such as PC Connection, Inc. and Cytyc Corporation.

Rhonda's formal education includes a Master’s Degree from Springfield College and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New Hampshire. She is a member of WorldatWork, the New England Compensation Consortium and former president of the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).

Jennifer Laforge Graves

jenniferJennifer Graves has over 12 years experience in the design and implementation of domestic and international compensation programs and strategies, primarily in the high technology industry. Jennifer is experienced in conducting detailed market comparison studies, job evaluation, and in developing competency models for performance management and compensation programs.

Jennifer has held internal consulting roles with SimplexGrinnell, Waters Corporation, Thomson Financial and Fleet Financial Group. She earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees from Bryant University (formerly Bryant College), and is currently a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) through the national association WorldatWork. She is a member of the New England Compensation Consortium.

Winnie Skeates

winnieWinnie Skeates has over 20 years of human resource experience in the design and implementation of compensation, performance management, and benefit programs, primarily in technology and manufacturing companies. Her special expertise includes designing customized client compensation and benefits surveys, and the development and effective communication of competitive pay programs for small to medium sized companies.

Prior to becoming affiliated with the Wilson Group, Winnie held leadership and internal consulting roles with Millipore, National Grange Mutual Insurance Company, Nashua Corporation, GenRad, and Olney Associates. She earned her Master’s Degree from Harvard University, a Bachelor’s Degree from Bates College, and a Certificate in Pension and Benefits Administration from Bentley College. Winnie is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) through WorldatWork. She is also a founding member of the New England Compensation Consortium, former President of the Greater Monadnock Society for Human Resource Management, and a member of the national Society for Human Resources Management.

Emmy Wyatt

emmyEmmy has over 10 years experience in human resources, both as a consultant and as a corporate manager. She has designed, implemented and managed base salary and variable pay programs. She has worked in performance management, strategic staffing, total rewards communication and benefits administration.

Emmy has worked at KPMG Peat Marwick and Towers Watson. Her education includes an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Williams College. She is a member of WorldatWork and the New England Compensation Consortium.

Lisa Nivison
Office Manager

lisaLisa is responsible for the smooth, client focused operations of the Wilson Group. In this role she works with consultants and clients to coordinate project activities, facilitate communication, and assure all information and reports meet our high standards of quality and timeliness. Lisa addresses clients’ questions and assures they receive the information needed about the company and their particular project. She also manages all internal operations, materials and services of the Wilson Group. In this role she serves as an integral member of our team and maintains strong working relationships with many of our clients.

Prior to joining the Wilson Group, Lisa worked as an Executive Assistant to Sherbrook Partners and New England Hardscapes. She has a background in sales and sales management at Cartier, Inc. and Zale Corporation. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
